Current Trends In Tiles

Current trends in tiles:

Over the last few years tiles have become a lot more than just a wall or floor covering. You are so much more aware of home design, and have really began to realise the ascetic value of tiles, and the impact they can create in your home.

Vilar red whiteBrick tiles:

Brick tiles have remained a firm favourite with you as we have moved into 2016. Brick tiles are commonly used in kitchen splash backs, over the past couple of years there has been a revival of Victorian and  Traditional design and they have become very popular for use in bathrooms. Instead of using white grout you are using a cement or anthracite grey grout, which is putting a modern twist on traditional design, as well as defining the tile edge, especially when used with one of the bevelled metro bricks. Cosmo tiles has several ranges of brick tiles available in different sizes and finishes. If it’s a metro brick your after then we suggest you take a look at our Vilar metro tiles, they come in 10x20cm with a bevelled edge. Vilar metro range is ceramic, we have a range of brick tiles in ceramic and porcelain.

Wood effect tiles:Pamesa Bosco Argent (Agt) (Mid Brown) 22x85cm Floor Tile

Popular trends at the moment are wood effect tiles. These tiles are available in both ceramic and porcelain and add a real natural feel to your home. We would recommend if you are looking at our ceramic wood ranges which are Tarima Roble and Alpina Meil, that you use these in a bathroom and rooms that don’t get a lot of traffic. This is because ceramic tiles are softer than porcelain tiles and are more inclined to chip and crack if you drop things on them.

Our porcelain wood range which is Pamesa Bosco and Pamesa Atelier are much more suited for use in high traffic areas such as kitchen, dining and large living areas. These tiles come in long plank size 22x85cm.Pamesa Bosco comes in a selection of 5 colours which are all lovely neutral tones such as  Cenere, Argent, Natura, Arena and Moka. Pamesa Atelier comes in two shades of grey a silver grey called Ceniza and a darker grey Piomo. The wood effect tiles have proved very popular not just for floors but also for bathroom walls and feature walls in your home.

A new range that would provide this look for you is Alp stone it is available in a 30x60cm tile a 60x60cm tile and a 30x30cm mosaic tile. It is available in two colours grey and almond.
