The trend for tactile geometric tiles sees intricate designs combine with tactile surfaces, taking inspiration from the past and using the latest technology, to give a contemporary twist to vintage patterns that are set to become design classics of the future. Adding patterns to your home, no matter how subtle adds visual interest to a room, the more understated and subtle a pattern, the more likely your home will stand the test of time for years to come.
Can I use them on the wall and floor?
The first range we have brought in to help you create a subtle geometric look is our Cifre hexagon tile range, it is available in black and white and is made from glazed porcelain and the good news is it is suitable for both the walls and floors in your home. This tile comes in a 30 x 60cm size and is in stock and will add style to any room, it has a glazed finish with the hexagon pattern in laid into the glaze. Not only do you get the subtle geometric pattern it comes in a sharp tile and has a real contemporary feel to it. Cifre hexagon tile is suitable for any room you may choose to use it, it would make a fabulous kitchen floor and kitchen splash back, and it would be equally suited to your bathroom walls and floor. There are so many options when using cifre hexagon tile, you could have the white tile on the walls with the black tile to contrast on the floor, or you may choose to use one solid colour which would be stunning as you can see in the picture on your right. Another option could be to have mainly one colour for three walls and have a feature wall and floor of the contrasting colour. Black and white contrasting tiles have been used again and again it is a tried and tested design feature which gives a stunning result.
Where can I use them in my home?
The second range we can offer you is equipe hexatile which is a glazed porcelain tile, each tile offers you this geometric hexagon shape which mean the possibilities for this tile in your home are limitless. Twists on geometric pattens are bang on trend right now because we are more confident when dealing with our own interior design. These patterns have been used throughout the ages to add interest to architecture and interior design. In recent times we have seen these geometric designs in bold colours, the trend at the moment is more subtle giving a nice soft and interesting finish. The equipe hexagon tile is suitable for the walls and floors in your home, it looks great when you use the white on your kitchen walls as the white reflects the light around your room and creates space and the subtle geometric pattern adds interest to the room.
It is also suitable for tiling any space in your home bathroom, kitchen floor, hallway etc. One of my favourite patterns is shown in the image below, it has been used on a bathroom floor and white flower patterns have been created with the black tiles surrounding them. The good thing about this tile is it can be as subtle or bold a finish as you choose to create, you can be really creative and achieve a finish that is completely individual to you.
